So Much to Say
15 1/8” x 8” x 5” – 2000

Placed in a shallow box are a partially-completed glazed clay face and some computer keys mounted on a square slab of wood.

Meaning:

The computer keys spell out the phrase “SO MUCH TO SAY”.  Unfortunately, the clay face has no mouth or lower jaw—and thus no way of actually saying anything.  This sculpture speaks to the concept of disenfranchisement.
