A wire-frame face cradle is suspended between four posts over a highly-polished metal sheet.  An overturned glass communion cup containing a blue marble is pinned on the polished metal plate.

 Meaning:
The scripture James 1:23-24 speaks of looking into a mirror in an effort to come to a better understanding of oneself, only to turn and walk away and immediately forget what has been discovered.  The viewer of this sculpture must first place his face into the face cradle, and in so doing, bows and accepts a lower physical position. While in this position, his breath fogs the mirrored surface and thereby destroys his perception and awareness of the self.
